What Is Reptile?

Reptile is a simple, yet advanced WordPress theme framework. It allows developers to quickly create high quality themes. The framework is based upon the principles used by The Bandits when creating and modifying themes for client projects.

Instead of repeating the common tasks used when developing themes we decided to create a framework to save us time and allow our clients to easily modify common elements used in all of our themes.

What If I’m Not A Developer?

No worries! You do not have to be a developer to use Reptile. Most of the advanced functionality is underneath the hood in a bunch of PHP classes and functions. As a user of Reptile much of the functionality you need is built into the control panel. Modifying a Reptile skin is no different than modifying a standard WordPress theme using CSS. Advanced modifications may require PHP.
